The archaeological research undertaken in the Roman camp from Mehadia was developed on different areas, with no crops, due to the fact that the entire place is the private property of the inhabitants from Bolvaşniţa. The archaeological research in the camp from Mehadia, in 2002, has tried to clarify the main elements from the inside of the camp, through a masterly section (64 × 2 m). Here was discovered a massive flood that had destroyed the entire stratigraphy at the meter 6, near the wall of the west precincts. The restoration from the 4th century, dated with coins issued by Emperor Constantine, is still preserved.
