Summary (English)
The archaeological site is located in the west area of the Roman town of Apulum (Aurelia Apulensis colony), close to the railway station. During the second half of the 19th century, in order to build the railway embankment, the ground underwent a vast vertical systematization, which damaged the Roman period layer. The surface was damaged as a result of a long period of floods from the Mureş River, which resulted in a 0-0.25 m alluvium layer. Under the alluvium layer there is a Roman one just 0.30-0.35 m thick. The artifacts are few, consisting of some common sherds.
