Summary (English)
The archaeological research took place in the archaeological site of Apulum, in the west area of the Roman town of colonia Aurelia Apulensis, near the railway. In the second half of the 19th century, the cultural layer from the Roman period was largely destroyed during the construction of the railway mound, when the terrain underwent an ample systematization. The area was long covered by swamps, especially during the rainy seasons. The acid PH of the soil deteriorated the state of the pottery as well as that of the iron finds.
