The ground undergoing archaeological research lies on the left side of the access road (Izvor Street), linking the town by Încoronării Avenue to the Apulum Porcelain Plant, about 500 m from the monument raised in the memory of the Uprising of 1784. The goal of the research was the clearance of an area of about 142 sqm. After we delimited the area to be built by the designer, we conducted three surveys, two of which sized 2 × 2 and the third one 1.50 × 13 m. We failed to identify an ancient occupation level. The archaeological sterile occurs evenly at 0.75 – 0.80 m. The lack of occupation traces justifies us in considering that we find ourselves outside the south border of the Roman town, known under the name of Apulum II.
