Summary (English)
The site is located on the terrace that goes down in the alluvial plane of Cricovul Sărat River, at the entrance in Urlaţi town. The site is located on an old terrace extension. From the geo-morphological point of view, the zone on which the site is placed corresponds to the contact between the high Wallachian Plain and the Sub Carpathian Hills. Several trenches were opened in order to establish the site stratigraphy. Materials belonging to Gumelniţa and Boian cultures were discovered. Some materials with humus that remained in the fabric can indicate an older occupation belonging to the Dudeşti or Starcevo-Criş cultures. Other materials belonging to the Bronze Age and to the 2nd – 3rd centuries A.D. were also discovered.
