Summary (English)

  • The systematic researches were conducted in two sectors. On terrace 1, the main objective was to check the validity of a magnetic prospecting performed during the 2004 archaeological campaign. Within the C.3 surface, sporadic traces of a prehistorical occupation became visible. In the SW section we found two complexes where the archaeological materials belong to the First Iron Age. Terrace 3 is located at the base of terrace 1, and in the 2005 campaign we excavated a section S.4 and C.1. Within this archaeological area (S.5) we found more complexes, which belong to the First Iron Age and to the Dacian period. On the C.1 we found a complex containing Dacian material. Preliminary anthropological report on human bones found in S.5 was conducted by Andrei Dorian Soficaru.
