Summary (English)
The preventive archaeological research at Adam Monastery, Drăguşeni commune, Galaţi county has revealed the annexed constructions (cells) of the old monastery, which had functioned until the middle of the 20th century, rubbish pits, graves and foundation walls which were parts of an older church, probably the first church made out of brick and stone, built at Adam in the 17th century. It is hoped that further archaeological researches will uncover the entire religious pile, made up of the annexed constructions of the monastery, the old church, as well as the necropolis situated to the south of the old church, where four graves were discovered.
