Summary (English)
In the summer 2006, during the second campaign of the archaeological excavations in the sector B of Tropaeum Trajani, we discovered other parts of the late Roman edifice B1, located in the south of ABV 4 street. 15 sections were traced. We identified, in the extension of the southern, eastern and western sides, the foundation of the late Roman building B1, having 19 × 29, 50 m. To the east, new sections (C15, C16 and C17) were opened, along the eastern front of the edifice, and we uncovered an important entrance to cardo. The southern limit of the building has not been precisely identified yet, but we discovered that the wallof theeastern front continues to the south. The maximum depth reached during this campaign was 1 m. The archaeological material mostly consists of pottery and construction materials. The items from the 5th – 6th centuries A.D. consists of pottery fragments, animal bones and building material. We mention that the pottery is fragmentary, with no complete vase, and it was usually made of a thicker paste. The pottery is specific to the Late Roman period, mostly pots and amphora fragments.
