During the fall of 2006 we have carried out the fourth archaeological campaign in the early mediaeval fortified settlement of Oltina – Capul Dealului. From objective reasons, the 2006 campaign had only two weeks (14th – 28th of September) and was focused on the complexes C13-20 from S2, where we tried to clarify the nature of the 3rd and 4th complexes. The archaeological material discovered consists in many ceramic fragments specific to the end of the 10th century and the following one (among the fragments, we have four bottoms with potter’s marks), two point bones, a fragment of Byzantine glass bracelet (colour blue), a piercing grit stone, glass stag etc. A surface investigation was also carried out in the Oltina village area. The discovered archaeological material is to be found in the reserves of the Museum of National History and Archaeology from Constanţa.
