The “Le residenze dell’Anfiteatro” construction project covers an area of 2158 m2. This faces north onto the present via De Amicis, to the east and south onto the Amphitheatre Archaeological Park and to the west onto via Conca del Naviglio. A complete investigation of the area was undertaken, from the surface deposits down to natural.

On the basis of the data which emerged during excavation, the area’s archaeological interest lies not only in the presence of the amphitheatre and associated structures but also in the remains of private or public buildings which attest its continuous occupation until the present day.
