Summary (English)
A number of trenches were excavated in the locality of Casino Sion, circa 2 km north of the ancient town, on the terraced slopes of a hill cultivated with olive trees. The archaeological investigation, undertaken prior to the laying of a water pipe, revealed the presence of a building complex, perhaps a Republican villa (1st century B.C.-1st century A.D.). The structure was characterised by a quadrangular tank lined with opus signinum, an adjacent well and a series of pottery kilns, as attested by a large kiln and two over fired plain buff ware vases.
