Summary (English)
At Cambiago (MI), alongside the A4 motorway where the fourth lane is currently under construction, the remains of a craft-working area of Roman date were uncovered. These structures, which were completely ignored when the existing motorway lanes were built, comprise to the north what is probably a kiln, visible only in section and to the south a spread of rubble which clearly indicates that the motorway has almost completely covered the workshop area. The structures can be dated to the 1st century A.D. on the basis of the kiln’s analogy with kiln A at Lonato (BS). (Laura Simone Zopfi)
