Summary (English)
During construction work carried out in the quarter number 11 of the city of Durrës, (ancient Dyrrhachion), at the depth of 3, 90 m were discovered traces of an ancient drain. A rescue excavation aiming to record the archaeological data. This ditch is 4, 90 m long, 1, 57 m wide and 1, 13 m of height built with bricks (0, 29 × 0, 37 × 0,04m) and solid mortar.
Its basement is made of mortar above which are placed fragments of bricks. The vault is also made by bricks bonded with mortar.
The building technique and the construction material are the same with those used in the Byzantine monuments of the city, which date to the begining of 6-th century A.D.
