Summary (English)
In the year 2000 the University of Bologna in collaboration with the Albanian Institute of Archaeology began the excavations in the ancient city of Phoenike. One of the most interesting areas of Phoinike city was the Hellenistic temple, or also known as the thesaurus, which is located at the eastern part of the acropolis. During this season the area was surveyed and several test pits were undertaken. Considering the bad conditions of the site it was firstly cleaned in order to provide data from the previous excavations. The survey of the site clarified its original plan and the changes occurred during the latter phases.
