The excavation of the year 2001 in the prostyle temple (thesaurus) aimed mainly at the cleaning of the whole area from the artificial fillings, in order to reach to the archaeological levels excavated by Ugolini. The finds from the first layer date to the modern period and are represented mainly by glass and iron objects. The excavation of the other layers revealed four wall lines of the temple. Another area of interest was the foundation of the entrance which was constructed by stone slabs bounded with grey mortar.
A sondage was undertaken to the southern part of the area. The cleaning of the wall filling layer revealed traces of Byzantine period. At the end of the excavations, some conservation and restorations works were undertaken. Weeds and the remnants on the slab surface were eliminated, whereas the broken slab pieces were joined together. The final step was the covering of the area by a shelter to assure a better conservation from atmospheric factors.
