Summary (English)
During this season the archaeological excavations were undertaken in the portico house, which is located between the house with peristyle and the building S. The excavations aimed revealing other elements of this ancient structure and also to understand the functions of this area. Initially the upper layers were removed by using mechanical devices. This made possible the discovery of 9 areas that were located around a corridor, and were named respectively, area: BB, BA, BH, BF, BG, BE, BD, BI, BC. The excavations of this areas showed that those had the same stratigraphic sequence. Under the surface layer were identified 2-3 demolitions and fillings layers, composed by various materials such as, stones, tiles and pottery fragments. There were also some plaster layers. In two of this areas were identified two graves that had the same construction typology. The second grave was badly preserved. This excavation clarified the changes of this building during the Roman period and late antiquity. These changes were noticed in the blockage of some entrances and the pavement of the floor with cocciopesto. The archaeological finds were rich and consist mostly or pottery objects of different types, metal objects and rarely coins. An important find of the excavation of this year was a marble statue of Artemis.
