The excavations of this year aimed to clean the southern, eastern and western side of the building, and to open entirely the area around the corridor, which is paved with small bricks teserae. This intervention extended the dimensions of the building to 19 × 16.20 m. The southern side of the building is well preserved to the width of 2.90 m. On the outside it is surrounded by a wall of bricks bonded with clay and set on a sandy foundation. The cleaning of the southern part of the wall revealed the covering slabs of the big channel. A sondage undertaken in the in-between area showed that the foundation of the mosaic building is built later then the channel. On the eastern side was discovered a wall that belong to an earlier building. The excavations of the wall did not reveal any of its corners. The eastern corridor floor was interrupted at the point where the wall begins, which suggests that the builders were aware of the existing structure and integrated it within the new one. The excavation revealed another east-west wall, which continues toward the large road. A more complex situation is presented on the western façade. The southern wall is interrupted by an oblique wall, which turns 90 grade toward the west, exactly at the corner formed by the southern and western corridor of the building. It relates to a later building, which was extended toward the west. The construction of its south-western corner has destroyed the mosaic building.
