Summary (English)
ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATIONS NEAR APOLLONIA (Anelia Bozhkova – aneliabozkova@yahoo.com, Aneta Petrova) The two control sections, 1 m in width, were completely explored. The control sections are oriented north – south and east – west and cross the entire width of the tumular embankment. Sherds from amphorae were found in the western control section. The main part of the sherds was found in the periphery of the tumulus and was related to the pile of amphorae, which was explored in 2006. The amphorae originate from Heracleia Pontica and Chios and date to the first quarter of the 4th century BC.
