Summary (English)
DUROSTORUM – DRASTAR (Georgi Atanasov – geoatal@abv.bg) The explorations of the building over 30 m long and 8 m wide, situated along the inner side of the southern fortification wall continued. Its walls were 1 m wide, built of ashlars bonded with mortar. Sherds of the 9th – 10th centuries and tiles from the collapsed roof were discovered. Another building of the 11th century was explored, built of ashlars bonded with mud. Tiles from its collapsed roof were discovered and a hoard of 12 Byzantine anonymous folles of the Class D was found in the building. Midden pits with sherds were explored. Two kilns for production of iron and glass were discovered and a coin of the 11th century was found in one of them. A dugout with an area of c. 7 sq. m and two pits of the 13th – 14th centuries were discovered.
