Summary (English)
PERISTERA (Boni Petrunova – boni_boon@abv.bg, Elena Vasileva, Dimitar Pavlov) The explorations to the west of the entrance of the southeastern fortification tower-church continued. Layers with ash were documented and sherds and fragmentary roof-tiles were found. Rooms Nos. 1 and 2 were discovered to the north of the fortification tower-church. Room No. 1 measured 4.90 m by 2.50 m and was destroyed at the end of the 6th century AD. The finds comprised fragmentary roof-tiles and bricks, sherds from dolia and pots, a key and a latch of the 3rd – 5th century AD. Animal bones and tools for processing leather were found in Room No. 2. During the excavations, five coins of Justin II and Maurice were found.
