The 2017 excavations investigated the area connecting the stratigraphic sequence of the shelter and to that at the rear of the cavern. It was seen that the Mesolithic sequence of the shelter was not present in the interior apart from a few small patches. Several late Upper Palaeolithic layers were identified in the shelter, which added to knowledge of the internal sequence and were situated up against the large boulder bearing the incision of Bos. Structures, substructures and palaeo-surfaces came to light and will shortly be subjected to taphonomic and palaeontological analyses.
