Summary (English)
MESAMBRIA (Anelia Bozhkova – aneliabozkova@yahoo.com, Petya Kiyashkina) Late Antique Grave No. 11 was dismantled. Pit No. 17 has destroyed part of the grave and contained Mediaeval sherds, including from amphorae, and fragmentary marble veneer from the inner walls of the grave. Another grave was discovered beneath the pit. It was built of roof-tiles arranged like a ridge-roof. A young individual was buried, laid supine with its head to the north. The lower part of a Late Hellenistic amphora was placed over the grave and the grave goods included a bronze bracelet and a chytra. Two ceramic unguentaria of the second half of the 1st century BC were discovered close to the grave. The burial dated to the 1st century BC.
