Summary (English)
AQUAE CALIDAE – THERMA (Dimcho Momchilov – karnobat.muzey@mail.bg, Miroslav Klasnakov) The excavations continued along the eastern corpus of the Early Byzantine thermae. The two Mediaeval drains were cleaned. Part of another Mediaeval drain was discovered, situated to the southeast of the northern apodyterium of the 11th – 13th centuries. The Mediaeval stratum of the 11th century was situated over the Early Byzantine one and there was a hiatus between the 7th and the early 11th century AD. The finds from the excavations included sherds, including aureate slip and sgraffito pottery of the 11th – 13th centuries, coins, mostly of the 11th – 13th centuries, Byzantine lead seals of the 11th century. The thermae were already out of use during the 14th century.
