    Summary (English)

    • AQUAE CALIDAE (Dimcho Momchilov – karnobat.muzey@mail.bg, Miroslav Klasnakov) The excavations continued in the northeastern sector of the thermae and the northeastern apodyterium. The dismantling of the Mediaeval wall built in rubble masonry and the drains of the 11th – 13th centuries was launched. Two main strata were documented: a lower Late Antique one and an upper Mediaeval one of the AD 1000 – 1270. At least five chronological stages were documented in the northeastern apodyterium. A Latin and a Greek inscription were found. Three altars of the Roman period were reused as spolia. They belonged to the temple that was attested in 2015 by two votive inscriptions of Apollonios son of Eptaikenthos. The finds from the excavations included Late Antique sherds, sherds of imported sgraffito pottery of c. AD 1250 – 1270, coins, including a Greek bronze arrow-coin of the 7th – 6th century BC and a coin of the Bulgarian King Ivan Shishman.
