Summary (English)
The investigations undertaken during the 6th excavation campaign provided significant new information about the spatial organisation and topography of the entire archaeological area.
In Area D, an even more substantial part of the basalt road was uncovered that probably belonged to the town of Attidium. The road, very well-preserved in some segments, was protected uphill by a terracing wall built of small blocks of local stone and brick and two small drainage channels ran its entire length. A stone fountain was found abutting the bath structures in the area investigated during previous seasons. It had been built on top of the road surface.
A preliminary study of the pottery found to date seemed to confirm that the site was occupied until the 6th century A.D. Further analyses will provide a more detailed chronology that will associate the various artefacts with the structures.
