Summary (English)
ST. MARY CHURCH (Tatyana Borisova – tatqna_borisova@abv.bg, Mihaela Zaneva) Explorations were carried out to the northwest of St. Mary Church, which was built in the 14th century and was part of monastery. The finds included a silver coin of Adam Wenceslaus, Duke of Cieszyn, a silver coin of Sigismund III Vasa, a silver coin of Maria Theresa, a terracotta spindle whorl, Thracian sherds of the 8th – 7th centuries BC and of the 5th – 4th centuries BC. Fragments from frescoes and an iron fire striker were found to the southwest of the church. Foundations built in rubble masonry, were documented. They probably supported a wooden structure; a number of iron nails were found.
