    Summary (English)

    • UNDERWATER ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS AT ST. CYRICUS ISLAND (Ivan Hristov – ivchristov70@abv.bg) The waters to the northwest from St. Cyricus Island sland were explored. Ashlars with holes for clamps, bases of columns and statues, columns, and parts from buildings of fortifications or port structures were documented down to 12 m in depth. They originated from that part of the island that was submerged by the sea. A pile of five stone anchors with two or three holes and an anchor with a groove, dated to the 1st millennium BC, was discovered to the south of that area. Sherds from amphorae from Thasos and Chios were discovered at 4 m in depth, in a square 20 m by 20 m in size, which was explored in the waters of the port situated between the island and Sozopol.
