Summary (English)
Inspections carried out during the building of an extension to the Zundlhof house in via Rencio No.48, brought to light a charcoally layer at a depth of 1.50 – 2.50m. The layer, 30cm thick, ran along the entire length of the eastern section, sloping towards the south. It contained numerous fragments of Roman brick, some of which were quite large. In the middle section, there was a concentration of stones, circa 1m long, the function of which remains unclear. These traces were perhaps left by some kind of agricultural activity in the Roman period. (Catrin Marzoli)
