Summary (English)
THE CHURCH OF THE HOLY ASCENSION (Todor Marvakov – tmarvakov@abv.bg, Martin Giuzelev, Konstantin Gospodinov) A water conduit built of stones with a pipe was discovered, probably indicating a street that was destroyed during the construction of the church in the 17th century. The building explored in 1960 and located to the northwest of the church was re-discovered. Judging from the sherds of red-figure pottery and the architectural terracotta, the building dated to the 4th century BC. A staircase, a platform, an entrance and a cellar were explored.
