Summary (English)
PHILIPPOPOLIS (Maya Martinova – maya_martinova@abv.bg) A room in a Late Antique building was discovered. The floor was paved with stone slabs and bricks. The walls were built of roughly-cut stones bonded with mortar. The northern wall was probably in opus mixtum and a water-conduit of terracotta pipes ran through it. A pit dug into the bedrock was explored, containing sherds and a hoard of 1724 bronze coin-like plates of the Ottoman period placed in a ceramic ibrik. A monumental wall with a marble threshold was excavated, belonging to the Roman thermae.
