ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS NEAR THE VILLAGE OF MIROVYANE (Lyuben Leshtakov – l_leschtakow@abv.bg, Vanya Petrova) An area of 0.36 ha was explored. A stratum, 30 – 40 cm thick, was documented, containing remains from houses of the end of the Early Bronze Age III. The house in trench A/B 14–15 had approximate size 5.50/6 m by 3.50/4 m. Querns, ceramic vessels, a spindle whorl, sherds and burned clay debris were found in the house. The house in trench A/B 17–18 had approximate size 7 m by 4 m. Fragmentary clay plaster with imprints from wooden posts and planks, sherds, bone tools, terracotta loom weights, ceramic vessels and a stone weight with incised decoration were found. The house in trench B/C 12–13 had approximate size 6/7 m by 3.50/4 m. Sherds, fragmentary burned debris, a quern and terracotta loom weights were found. The remains of two more possible houses were documented and pottery was found there.
