Summary (English)
ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS NEAR THE VILLAGE OF MURSALEVO (Anelia Bozhkova – aneliabozkova@yahoo.com) The site is situated on the left bank of the River of Struma. Pits Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 of the Early Bronze Age (second half of the 4th millennium BC) were explored, containing pieces of charcoal, animal bones, fragmentary wattle-and-daub, sherds from dishes, bowls and cups of the Early Bronze Age Ib synchronous to Cernavodă III – Boleraz. Pit No. 1 of the 6th century BC was explored, containing pieces of charcoal, animal bones, fragmentary wattle-and-daub, sherds from dishes, cups and pots. A sector of a ditch was documented, c. 1 m wide in its upper part, c. 80 cm wide in its lower part and 55 cm deep, containing single sherds probably of the Early Bronze Age.
