Summary (English)
Before concluding the investigations begun last year in the church of Santa Margherita, a trench was opened with the aim of confirming the existence of levels preceding the Romanesque complex. No earlier structures came to light, but numerous fragments of fresco and some medieval coins were recovered. New data was obtained which aids the comprehension of the construction phases of the Romanesque and Gothic churches. At the end of the excavation the floor of the church was covered with a layer of fine gravel in order to allow site visits.
