Summary (English)
AUGUSTA TRAIANA (Petar Kalchev – kalchevp@abv.bg) The site was situated in the northeastern part of Augusta Traiana. A pit was discovered, 1.40 – 1.60 m in diameter, containing sherds, including from amphorae, dated to the end of the 3rd – 6th centuries AD, animal bones and pieces from charcoal. Midden Pit No. 16 of the 12th – 14th century was also explored, 1.50 – 1.66 m in diameter, containing sherds, pieces of charcoal and animal bones. Seven midden pits of the 16th – 18th centuries were discovered as well.
