Summary (English)
ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS NEAR THE VILLAGE OF POLSKI GRADETS (Plamen Karailiev – umbo@abv.bg, Reni Petrova) The site was discovered during field surveys in 2018; Thracian sherds of the 1st millennium BC and a few sherds of the Middle Ages were found. In 2019, 18 sondages were carried out and Thracian sherds of the 1st millennium BC were found. Pit No. 1 was explored, containing pieces of charcoal and Thracian sherds of the Late Iron Age. Pit No. 4 was excavated, containing pieces of charcoal and Thracian sherds of the Early Iron Age. Two similar pits were partly excavated close to it. A building, 4.20 m by 3 m in size, was partly explored; postholes were documented and Thracian sherds of the 11th – 9th centuries BC were found.
