Summary (English)
ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS NEAR THE VILLAGE OF PETARNITSA (Venko Ivanov – venko_4@abv.bg, Todor Valchev) The site was situated on a terrace on the right bank of the River of Vit. A stratum 40 – 60 cm was documented, containing Thracian sherds of the 4th century BC. Structure No. 3 was a pit containing a pile of sherds. Structure No. 4 was a pit containing a pile of sherds, animal bones and fragmentary wattle-and-daub. Structure No. 5 was a pit containing a pile of sherds, animal bones, flint splinters and fragmentary wattle-and-daub. Structure No. 6 was a pit containing a pile of sherds, animal bones, flint splinters and fragmentary wattle-and-daub.
