Summary (English)
EXPLORATIONS NEAR THE VILLAGE OF TSAREVETS (Nartsis Torbov – natorbov@mail.bg, Georgi Ganetsovski, Alexandra Petrova) A tumulus, 11 – 15 m in diameter and c. 5.50 m high, was documented. During the beginning of the 1920s, three tumuli were documented in the region. One of them was excavated and a cremation burial was discovered. The grave goods included an iron sword, an iron spearhead, a fragmentary bronze fibula and sherds. The sword was of the Celtic Type dated to La Tène D1 (150 – 80 BC).
