Summary (English)
Excavations (begun in the 1980s) have re-opened on the Enotrian necropolis at Colle dei Greci, Latronico. Fifteen inhumations were uncovered, with the bodies in a supine position and dating to the 6th to 5th centuries B.C.
Of great importance was the find in Tomb 90 of two small, amber heads carved in profile, datable to around the mid 5th century B.C. In the same necropolis a Lucanian type burial (Tomb 95) was found for the first time. The ceramic assemblage was composed of forms typical of the 4th century B.C., associated with an iron spearhead, a bronze strigil and lead fire-dogs and skewers. (Maria Luisa Nava)
