Summary (English)
ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS NEAR VELINGRAD (Diana Gergova – dianagergova@gmail.com, Asen Salkin) The explorations of the Thracian tomb continued. The layer with traces from fire contained Thracian sherds, including from decorated pottery of the Tsepina Type, a dolium, a knucklebone and animal bones. Collapsed large pieces of clay wall plaster were discovered. A hearth was explored, situated in front of the entrance of the tomb. The tetrobol (fourrée) of Histiaia of 196 – 146 BC that was found in 2015, was a terminus ante quem for the construction of the tomb. Layers with charcoal and sherds were documented in the northern profile of the tumulus.
