The site of Dealul Domnii was discovered after 1997 and researched during rescue excavations in 1997 and systematic excavations in 2000 - 2003. The site has an occupation level, which proved to be an important religious site for ritual deposition of animal sacrifices. The structures researched in the year 2002 - 2003 consist of four pits that were ritually purified with rich pottery previously burned. The ritual setting, probably an open fireplace and a funerary complex, were used by the deacon in the 2nd – 1st centuries B.C.
