Chronology
Season
- The excavations went on in the archaeological site of Apulum, in the central-western area of the Roman town of colonia Aurelia Apulensis, near the railway. We found several Roman walls (Z1...Z5), belonging to a stone building that was erected at the end of the 2nd century, after the town received the title of colonia. We identified a cultural layer corresponding to the wooden phase of the settlement. The finds include coarsewares, as well as bones, tiles and iron artifacts.
