The report presents the results of the archaeological campaign on the Dacian site of Piatra Craivii. The objectives of the 2005 campaign were to clarify the character of the occupation and the stratigraphy on the fifth terrace (terrace 5), to excavate other terraces that were never investigated or underwent an unsatisfactory research and to begin the topographical measurements on the site. The resuming of the investigations in 2005 is part of a wider project that aims to understand the Dacian civilization on the southeast of the Apuseni Mountains in order to achieve a monograph. During 2005, the authors of the research intended to clarify the stratigraphical sequence on the terrace no. 5, the richest in occupation structures and inventory, and its infrastructure. In an unknown area in the NE we carried out a section S I/2005, 10 x 3 m, oriented to the NV-SE. A second research unit, SII/2005 was conducted a few meters below, on the SE terrace, in the location "Şura”. Dimensions: 10 x 1.5 m, orientation: NV-SE. The aim of this section was to clarify the stratigraphy too, due to the lack of information. A third section was excavated perpendicularly on the edge of terrace 5, where support wall of the terrace must have stood. That aspect will be studied during the following campaigns.
