The purpose of the 2005 research was the delimitation of the cemetery area and the investigation of three graves. The three graves have a mantle of earth. The burial rite is cremation. The cemetery at Vârtoapele should be dated to the Early Bronze Age: the final Glina – Verbiţa – Ostrovu Corbului (Glina IV) – Bela Crvka – Priboi phase.
