    Season

      • Part of an agricultural structure was discovered on the lower slopes of the Partenio uplands, in the Clanis valley on the edge of the territory of Suessula (San Felice a Cancello), south of the ancient route of the Via Appia. This _opus incertum_ structure was probably built on more than one level. In the small area covered by the excavation several construction phases were identified, dating from the Republican to Imperial period. This find came about in the zone to the south-east of the villa in the locality of Costa which was explored in the 1960s and documents the territorial organisation around Suessula with villas scattered across the hill slopes.
