This rescue digging at Hunedoara - “Sânpetru Hill” has been performed with the aim to mount a metal pillar for telecommunications by SC COSMOTE ROMANIAN MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATIONS. In order to find more about the stratigraphy of these places and taking into account the particularities of fortification precincts from topographical and constructive points of view, there have been researched three sections for stratigraphic checking (S.1, S.2, and S.3), directed north - south (S.3) and east - west (S.1 and S.2). There have been researched more than 40 archaeological complexes belonging mainly to the Dacian period and to the Middle Ages as well, thus constituting important items for the study of historical-archaeological evolution of Hunedoara City.
