A preliminary excavation to check for the presence of archaeological remains in an area destined for the construction of residential buildings led to the discovery of an agricultural trench (late 3rd-early 2nd century B.C.) and a pozzolana quarry (1st century B.C.-1st century A.D.), probably to be associated with the existence of a _fundus_ somewhere in the area.
