Summary (English)
The Steidlhof, a medieval customs-house, is situated on the road from Tell to the Val Venosta. During restructuring of the building ( which is under a restrictive order from the Superintendency) a small amount of work was undertaken outside the building that led to an archaeological investigation. The very disturbed stratigraphy revealed the presence of sub-agrarian soil containing medieval pottery and faunal remains. Shallow pits, which appear to be recent, also came to light. These contained a large quantity of faunal remains. No structures or archaeological deposits of particular interest were found. (Catrin Marzoli)
