Summary (English)
In the town of Nola, a geo-physical survey and rescue excavation were undertaken prior to the construction of a school in via Cimitile, immediately east of the fire-station. The resulting evidence showed one or two structures belonging to a settlement post-dating the so-called “pomici di Avellino” Vesuvian eruption. In particular, part of a hut with a probable enclosure was uncovered. The blade of a small bronze dagger constituted a find of considerable interest. It was incised with parallel lines at the edges and was furnished with small nails for attaching the handle. The typology was similar to the “Mincio” type attested in the later phase of the early Bronze Age.
