ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS NEAR THE VILLAGE OF ZLATAR (Stela Doncheva – donchevastela@yahoo.com) The explorations of the extension of Complex V continued. The platform of stones, 3 m by 3.30 m in size, was thoroughly explored. The extension of the pavement, 5.30 m long and 1.10 – 2.10 m wide, was discovered at the kiln that was explored in 2012 and the surface of the 10th century was documented. A hearth with bones from ox and charcoal and the bottoms of two kilns, 65 – 75 cm and 40 cm in diameter, were discovered. They belonged to a workshop in Complex V. The workshops in Complex V were situated under shelters and had fences partly surrounding them. The finds from the excavations included sherds, a fragment from a melting-pot, a bronze coin of Leo VI the Wise, four appliqués, two belt points, a lead exagium, bronze melts and waste production.
