Summary (English)
ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATIONS NEAR PIRDOP (Daniela Agre – daniela.agre@abv.bg) The tumulus belongs to necropolis of seven tumuli. Its periphery was destroyed. No primary archaeological structures and material were discovered in the tumulus. Nine secondary Christian burials of the 11th – 12th centuries were explored in the tumular embankment. The arms of the deceased are bent at the elbows and placed over the pelvis or the chest. The grave goods include a pair of bronze earrings and a bronze bracelet.
